The 1st Techies Park opened, inside a school

An innovation hub built inside a campus, and our first step into education. Four founders came out of that school.

On 7 December 2017, the first Techies Park opened at Krishna Vilsam Upper Primary School in Pazhavila, Pangode. It is the school where I studied Class 6 and 7. The idea was untested at the time: build a technology and entrepreneurship hub inside a campus, so a student never has to leave school to find one.

I invested ₹30 lakh (about $47,000 at the time) to build the infrastructure inside the school. My teacher and headmaster there, AM Anzari sir, helped set up the space. Yahiya Abdul Latheef, another teacher, helped make it happen.

Four founders came out of that school. It was our first step into the education space, and it became the model Talrop has built on since: a dedicated technology and entrepreneurship ecosystem built directly inside a campus, to incubate startups and turn student ideas into companies.
